Looking for a Discord alternative? c0dium
Channel-based community chat, voice rooms, screen sharing and roles — plus an embedded code editor that runs in the browser. Free, and built for people who write code together.
Why look for a Discord alternative?
Discord is a mature, genuinely good product and this page is not here to run it down. But it leaves gaps for developer communities: the interface was designed for gamers, and sharing code always means leaving the app for a pastebin, an editor, or a screen share. c0dium was written to close those gaps.

Who is it for?
c0dium is not the right tool for every community. It works well for:
- Developer communities that write, review or teach code together
- Teams and study groups whose members mostly speak Turkish
- Working groups that want the voice room and the editor on one screen
- Anyone who wants a free, install-free environment that opens in a browser
Where Discord is better
A one-sided comparison is no use to you. Discord is clearly ahead on:
- Bot ecosystem: Discord has thousands of ready-made bots and a broad developer API. We do not, yet.
- Native mobile apps: c0dium works well in a mobile browser, but there is no App Store or Play Store app.
- Community size: if the community you are looking for is already on Discord, that is where you should be.
- Maturity: Discord has run at scale for years. We are new and still building.
Frequently asked questions
The questions people ask most when looking for a Discord alternative.
Is c0dium free?
Yes. Creating an account, running a server, using voice rooms and the embedded code editor are all free. We do not ask for payment details.
Is c0dium available in English?
Yes. The interface ships in both Turkish and English.
Can I migrate my Discord server to c0dium?
There is no automatic import tool yet. You would recreate your server, channels and roles on c0dium and share the new invite link.
Do I need to install anything?
No. c0dium runs in the browser with no download or install, on both desktop and mobile.
What does the embedded code editor actually do?
It opens a VSCodium-based workspace inside the app, so you can write code and show it to your team without leaving the voice room or switching tabs.
How many people can join a voice room?
Voice rooms are built for small and mid-sized teams — comfortably enough for a working group or a class.
